Follow the steps outlined below to check WAEC 2023 GCE Second Series results as posted by WAEC.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2023 WASSCE Second Series. The examination body made this announcement via its official X (Twitter) page on Tuesday 13th February 2024.
How to Check the Results
Regarding the results for the October/November 2023 WASSCE Second Series, WAEC has directed candidates who sat for the examination to check their results on the WAEC result portal, www.waecdirect.org.
Candidates should key in their details as specified, namely, the 10-digit examination number, the result checking PIN and Serial number.
Candidates can find the above information at the foot of the photo card which they printed after registering for the examination, and which was also used to gain entrance into the examination halls during the conduct of the examinations. The PIN and Serial Number can be used for five times after which a new pin and serial number should be acquired for further checks

Recall that the WASSCE Second Series which took place between October and December 2023, marked that last time the examination for private candidates would be wholly paper and pencil.
WAEC had earlier announced that going forward, WASSCE for private candidates would be a hybrid of computer based testing (CBT) and paper and pencil.
The first WASSCE for private candidates taking the format of computer based testing commenced with the WASSCE First Series in late January 2024.

The West African Examinations Council is a regional body with the mandate to organize, conduct and supervise examinations on different secondary school level subjects for students who have completed secondary school education.
The body also accommodates private candidates who are not in the school system, and who, for one reason or the others, wish to the examination.
